️🛠️ We’re Hiring: HVAC Engineer 🛠️❄️🔥 📍 Darlington 💷 £45,000 + Benefits We’re looking for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join a specialist Life Sciences contract in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated, technically advanced environment, maintaining critical HVAC and building services systems that support scientific and research activities. ❄️ What you’ll be doing: 🔧 Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on HVAC systems and associated plant ⚙️ Maintaining and optimising air handling units (AHUs), chillers, boilers, ventilation and cooling systems 🛠️ Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs to HVAC and building services systems 💻 Managing maintenance tasks through CAFM systems and maintaining accurate records 📋 Ensuring all work is completed in line with statutory compliance, health & safety and site requirements 📈 Supporting system optimisation to improve plant efficiency, reliability and performance 👷 Supervising and coordinating specialist subcontractors when required 🦺 Completing risk assessments and method statements for assigned tasks 💷 Assisting with quotations for minor works and remedial repairs 📊 Supporting contract KPIs and service level agreements 🔍 Participating in audits, toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives 🤝 Building strong working relationships with site stakeholders and representatives 👨‍🔧 What we’re looking for: • Relevant qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent • Experience within Facilities Management, Commercial, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Data Centres or other critical environments • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including AHUs, chillers, boilers and ventilation • Proven experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills • Good understanding of health & safety legislation and statutory compliance • Excellent communication and customer service skills ⭐ Desirable: ✔️ F-Gas Certification ✔️ IOSH Managing Safely ✔️ Experience using CAFM systems ✔️ Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) ✔️ Experience with complex HVAC controls and energy management systems 💼 What’s on offer: 💷 £45,000 salary 🧬 Opportunity to work within a specialist Life Sciences environment 📈 Excellent long-term career development opportunities 🎓 Ongoing training and professional development ❄️ Exposure to complex and critical HVAC systems ⚙️ Work within a technically advanced and highly regulated environment 🎁 Comprehensive benefits package If you're a proactive and technically strong HVAC Engineer looking for your next challenge in a specialist and rewarding environment, we'd love to hear from you
