Job Title - Housing Officer

* Manage a caseload of general needs tenants and properties, ensuring effective tenancy and housing management.
* Deal with tenancy issues, breaches of tenancy, ASB, safeguarding and tenancy sustainment.
* Manage rent arrears, working with tenants to agree repayment arrangements and taking legal action where required, including preparing cases and attending court for possession and arrears cases.
* Carry out tenancy visits and inspections, identifying and resolving issues at an early stage.
* Provide advice and support to tenants, including signposting to relevant welfare, financial and support services.
* Liaise with internal departments, external agencies, local authorities and legal representatives to resolve housing-related issues.
* Ensure accurate records are maintained and all actions comply with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
* Provide a professional, customer-focused service while managing challenging situations and supporting vulnerable tenants.
