Job Description
nstant Metal Fabrication is looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator and TIG Welder to join our growing workshop team in Medway. This is a varied role covering general fabrication work and high-quality TIG welding of aluminium and stainless steel. The successful applicant must be able to work accurately from engineering drawings and complete fabricated items to a high standard. Main responsibilities * General metal fabrication and assembly * TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel * Measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling and preparing materials * Reading and working from fabrication and engineering drawings * Producing architectural and bespoke metalwork * Checking finished work for accuracy and quality * Safely operating workshop machinery, hand tools and power tools * Keeping the working area clean and organised * Following company health and safety and quality procedures Experience and skills required * Previous experience in a metal fabrication role * Competent TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel * Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings * Confident working independently from drawings through to completion * Good measuring and marking-out skills * Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship * Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team Experience with MIG welding, structural steelwork, architectural metalwork, sheet-metal work or site installation would be advantageous.
