Cnc Miller

Are you an apprenticeship trained CNC Miller? Currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a very busy specialist engineering company in Hyde. Key Responsibilities * Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis as applicable) * Read and interpret engineering drawings * Create part programmes when necessary * Load programs, set tool offsets, and perform test runs * Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job * Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments * Carry out in process inspection using measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc.) * Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements * Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting * Identify and correct machining defects or errors * Follow health, safety, and quality procedures at all times * Record production data and report issues to supervisors or engineers Required Skills and Qualifications * Proven experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Machinist * Strong understanding of CNC milling operations and tooling * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T * Knowledge of CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Heidenhain) * Experience with CAM software is an advantage * High attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Technical diploma or apprenticeship in machining or manufacturing * 2+ years of CNC milling experience (or as required by employer) The Company * Join a specialist engineering and manufacturing company in Hyde * Offering 100% product training and support throughout your career * The company is looking for top performers rewarding excellent skills, capabilities, and experience. * The company is growing year on year and offers a great culture and positive team environment What you get * Salary starting at £18.37 per hour * Hours of work Mon to Thurs 7.45am – 5pm Fri 7.45 – 10.45am + regular overtime available * Pension contributions where the company contributes 5% * Generous holiday scheme, 25 days a year plus 8 statutory days also we offer service days where you get 1 extra day for every 5 years’ service. * All PPE and tools required to do their job safely provided.
