EHC Coordinator - Fixed Term Contract Location - Essex - Southend-on-Sea Benefits Salary of £39,152 - £45,091 per annum, depending on experience Hybrid working, with only 2 days per week on site Fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027 with possibility of extension Opportunity to manage meaningful SEND casework and support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities The Role - EHC Coordinator We are seeking an experienced EHC Coordinator to join a Local Authority SEND team on a fixed-term contract in Essex. As an EHC Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing a complex and demanding caseload. This may include either: New EHC assessments, with a caseload of approximately 40-60 cases, or Existing EHC Plans, with a caseload of approximately (Apply online only) cases.You will act as the first point of contact for your allocated caseload, working closely with children and young people, families, education settings and partner agencies. Key responsibilities will include managing EHC assessments and annual reviews, ensuring statutory processes are completed within required timescales, maintaining accurate case records and working collaboratively to support positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND. To be considered, you will have Previous Local Authority experience Experience of managing SEND or EHCP casework Experience of working with large and complex caseloads A strong understanding of SEN processes The ability to manage competing priorities and work to statutory deadlines Excellent communication skills and experience working with families, schools and multi-agency partners Strong organisational and IT skills Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice 2015 and the Children and Families Act 2014 is also important.
