Nursery Manager Location: Cullompton, Devon (EX15) Salary: Up to £53,000 per annum, depending on experience Contract: Full-time, permanent Hours: Monday to Friday Are you an experienced Nursery Manager—or an accomplished Deputy Manager ready to take the next step? We are recruiting for an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead a beautiful early years setting near Cullompton. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational and commercially capable leader who can maintain outstanding standards of care while developing a happy, motivated and successful team. You will take overall responsibility for the nursery’s day-to-day operation, ensuring children receive a safe, nurturing and stimulating early years experience. Key responsibilities * Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team * Maintain consistently high standards of childcare and education * Ensure the setting remains fully compliant with the EYFS, Ofsted and safeguarding requirements * Support staff through effective supervision, coaching and performance management * Build positive relationships with children, parents and the wider community * Manage staffing levels, rotas, occupancy and nursery budgets * Drive enquiries, registrations and occupancy * Oversee safer recruitment, induction and ongoing staff development * Create an inclusive environment in which children and colleagues can thrive * Work closely with senior leadership to support the nursery’s continued growth About you To be considered, you should have: * A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above * Recent management experience within a nursery or early years setting * Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements * Experience leading, developing and retaining an early years team * A confident understanding of nursery operations, occupancy and financial performance * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills * A genuine commitment to providing outstanding outcomes for children * The ability to balance high-quality childcare with effective commercial leadership Benefits * Salary of up to £53,000, depending on experience * Free on-site parking * Employee discount scheme * Employee Assistance Programme, including access to Bupa counselling * Attractive village and countryside location * Staff room stocked with food and snacks * Support from an established senior leadership team * Genuine scope to shape and develop the setting This position would suit an experienced Nursery Manager, Nursery General Manager, Early Years Manager or a high-performing Deputy Nursery Manager ready for greater responsibility.
