Location: County Meath / Leinster, Ireland
Type: Permanent, Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
Rate: €21.75 per hour inc shift allowance
Shifts:
* 1 week of Mon-Thurs 7am - 3pm, Fri 6am to 1pm followed by 1 week of Mon-Thurs 3pm - 11pm, Fri 1pm - 8pm
Must be able to drive/have your own transport.
Syntech Recruitment are partnering with a leading Irish engineering manufacturer to recruit experienced MIG Welders for a permanent, full-time position in the Midlands.
MIG Welder Responsibilities
· Weld materials from 3mm to 80mm using the MIG process
· Manufacture components to production drawings and welding specifications
· Visually inspect welds for compliance before release to the next stage
· Report any deviations or defects to the Area Team Leader immediately
· Maintain accurate shift handovers with your Team Leader
· Meet production targets and deadlines under pressure
· Handle steel components using hoists, pallet trucks and magnets
MIG Welder Requirements
· Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a production or fabrication environment
· Able to read and interpret engineering and welding drawings independently
· Strong grasp of welding standards, specifications and weld quality criteria
· Competent with measuring instruments and inspection tools
· Experience across a range of material thicknesses, light to heavy gauge
· Physically capable of handling steel in a heavy fabrication environment
