Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy housing association in the West Midlands. You will manage an allocated caseload of residents and provide a high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management service. Key Responsibilities * Manage a portfolio of residential tenancies from sign-up through to termination. * Conduct tenancy visits, estate inspections and tenancy audits. * Manage rent arrears, tenancy breaches and tenancy sustainment. * Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases. * Identify and appropriately escalate safeguarding and vulnerability concerns. * Support residents with tenancy-related issues, welfare benefits and signposting to appropriate services. * Work closely with local authorities, police, social services and other partner agencies. * Take appropriate enforcement and legal action where required. * Maintain accurate case records and ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales. * Deliver a professional, customer-focused service and contribute to improving local communities. About You You will ideally have: * Previous experience in housing, tenancy management, social housing or a related environment. * Experience managing a caseload and dealing with complex customer issues. * Knowledge of tenancy management, rent arrears and ASB. * Good understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable residents. * Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. * The confidence to deal with challenging situations and difficult conversations. * Good IT and case management skills. * A relevant housing qualification (e.g. CIH) is desirable. * A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required
