Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Glasgow
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

An established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Glasgow team. This is a varied role covering the delivery of geotechnical projects across Scotland, with the opportunity to take responsibility for technical delivery, client liaison and project management.
The role will involve:
Managing and delivering geotechnical investigations and assessments from planning through to completion.
Producing and reviewing geotechnical interpretative and factual reports.
Geotechnical analysis and design, including foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks.
Reviewing ground investigation data and developing ground models.
Supporting and managing site investigations and working closely with contractors.
Providing technical input into larger multidisciplinary projects.
Liaising with clients, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
Mentoring junior and graduate engineers and providing technical guidance.
Contributing to fee proposals, tenders and project management.The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong previous experience working within a geotechnical consultancy.
Experience in geotechnical design and interpretation of ground investigation data.
Good technical report writing skills.
Experience managing projects and liaising directly with clients.
Chartered status or working towards Chartership would be advantageous.
Full UK driving licence.This is a good opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer looking to take on greater technical responsibility while working on a varied portfolio of projects across Scotland
