Job Description
KS1 & KS2 Tutor Support Young Learners Through Personalised Core Subject Tuition We're looking for a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary-aged children across the BCP area through tailored 1:1 tuition. Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll help young learners develop confidence and make progress across the core curriculum, particularly English and Maths. Many of the children we support require additional educational provision and benefit from a patient, engaging tutor who can adapt learning to suit their individual needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for education professionals who enjoy working with primary-aged children and making a meaningful difference at an important stage in their educational journey. Location: BCP Key Stages: KS1 & KS2 Subjects: Core Subjects (English & Maths) Start Date: September Hours: Flexible Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour Type: 1:1 Tuition Requirements Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles Experience supporting primary-aged pupils Good knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable Strong communication and relationship-building skills Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area Who You'll Support You'll work with children who may have: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs ADHD Anxiety and school avoidance Speech, language, and communication needs EHCPs and additional educational needsEach child receives a personalised programme designed to support academic progress, confidence, and engagement with learning.
