Business Development Manager
Location: Livingston, West Lothian
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Benefits: Car Allowance, Fuel Card, 28 Days Holiday, Hybrid Working
The Role
We are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of a successful construction business across Scotland.
This is a key role focused on developing new business, strengthening existing client relationships and identifying opportunities to secure future projects across both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
* Identify and generate new business opportunities across Scotland.
* Promote the company's construction services to public and private sector clients.
* Build relationships with key decision makers and industry stakeholders.
* Secure opportunities to be included on tender lists and approved contractor frameworks.
* Research and identify upcoming projects and potential clients.
* Work closely with senior management to develop and implement growth strategies.
* Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions.
* Support the development of business development plans and lead-generation strategies.
* Maintain a strong pipeline of potential opportunities.
* Monitor market trends and identify areas for future growth.
About You
* Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales or Client Relationship role.
* Strong understanding of business development and lead generation.
* Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
* Confident engaging with clients and senior decision makers.
* Strong ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
* Self-motivated, proactive and commercially minded.
* Construction, civil engineering or related industry experience is highly advantageous.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
