Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical & electrical contractor based in Kings Lynn, looking to appoint a skilled Electrical Estimator to join their growing team. This is a permanent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-spec commercial/Industrial projects. The Role: As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of projects across the commercial sector. You'll work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality tenders that reflect the company’s commitment to excellence. Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical packages on commercial projects • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scope documents • Source supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure accurate pricing • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options • Support the bid process from initial enquiry to submission and handover • Attend tender meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and the project team Requirements: • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the commercial construction sector • Strong understanding of electrical systems within environments such as food production sites, offices, healthcare, education, and critical infrastructure (e.g., data centres) • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to estimating • Able to interpret M&E drawings and specifications with confidence • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Amtech, Estimation, or similar) and MS Excel What’s on Offer: • Permanent role with a respected and growing business • Competitive salary (DOE) + company benefits • Involvement in technically interesting and varied projects • Supportive team with a focus on professional development and long-term growth Apply now or contact Jark Cambridge Ltd for a confidential discussion about the role
