Quantity Surveyor | Main Contractor | High-end resi | Surrey | Permanent
I’m working with an established Surrey main contractor who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, working across a range of projects throughout London.
Turning over circa £13m–£15m, they deliver projects up to £5m and are looking for a QS who is particularly strong numerically, enjoys getting into the detail of drawings and is comfortable supporting both the commercial and estimating sides of the business.
The Role
Commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account
Reviewing drawings, specifications and project information
Measurement and take-offs
Assisting with estimating and tender preparation
Procurement and management of subcontract packages
Valuations, variations and subcontractor payments
Cost reporting and commercial management
Predominantly office based with site visits as required

Refurbishment and new build
Working across projects from pre-construction through to completion
What they're looking for
Quantity Surveyor with main contractor experience
Strong numerical and analytical ability
Methodical and comfortable working through drawings in detail
Good measurement and take-off skills
An interest in estimating alongside traditional Quantity Surveying
Someone adaptable, keen to learn and not set in their ways
Refurbishment experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Candidates coming predominantly from a new build background will also be considered
