Job Description
Site Manager - HS2 Project Location: HS2 - Northampton Job Type: Freelance Contract Engagement: CIS or Ltd Company Payment Options Available Start Date: Immediate Start The Role We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the HS2 A43 Project on a freelance basis. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of key civil engineering works, with a particular focus on Earthworks and Drainage packages. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major infrastructure project and play a key role in delivering works to programme, quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day management of Earthworks and Drainage operations. Coordination of subcontractors, plant, labour and materials. Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with project requirements. Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the Project Management Team. Conducting site inspections and maintaining quality standards. Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation. Liaising with engineers, supervisors, clients and stakeholders. Driving health, safety and environmental compliance across all activities. Supporting commercial and operational teams with progress and delivery updates. Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Strong background in Earthworks and Drainage works. Experience working on HS2 or other large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable. Valid SMSTS. CSCS Card. First Aid at Work. Temporary Works knowledge advantageous. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple work fronts safely and effectively. Desirable Biosite Induction already completed. Previous experience within the HS2 supply chain. NRSWA Supervisor and CAT & Genny qualifications beneficial.
