Job Description
SEN Teaching Assistant - Brent Remedy Education are looking for a caring and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school based in Brent. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs. The school are looking for a calm, patient and proactive SEN TA who can help pupils feel safe, supported and confident in their learning. Role Details: Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Brent Pay: £100-£117 per day Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Start Date: ASAP School Type: SEN / Mainstream School The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: * Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties * Work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis * Help pupils stay engaged, focused and confident throughout the school day * Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour * Assist the class teacher with learning activities, resources and classroom routines * Encourage independence, social skills and personal development * Help create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Previous experience supporting children or young people * SEN experience is highly desirable * A calm, patient and resilient approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs * Experience in a school, care, youth work, nursery or support setting is desirable * A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one This is a rewarding opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference within a supportive school in Brent.
