Job Description
Quality Controller - Food Production
Location: Trafford Park
Pay Rate: £13.17 per hour (raising to £13.57)
Hours: 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Controller to join a busy food production facility in Trafford Park, specialising in chicken processing.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused individual with previous food manufacturing experience to become part of a growing team committed to maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards.
Shift Pattern:
6:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
OR
4:45am - 2:45pm, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
Carry out quality checks throughout the production process.
Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company standards.
Complete quality control documentation accurately and efficiently.
Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and GMP standards are maintained at all times.
Identify and report quality issues and support corrective actions.
Work closely with production teams to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Quality Controller, Quality Assurance Assistant, or similar role within a food production environment.
Good understanding of HACCP principles and food safety standards.
Experience completing quality documentation and records.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Experience within poultry, meat, or food manufacturing would be advantageous.
