Night Support Worker – Poole
Location: Poole, Dorset, BH14
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 33.75 hours per week
Shifts: Night shifts, including weekends
Contract: Temp-to-permanent
Start: ASAP
Brookes HC Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced and compassionate Night Support Worker for a residential care service in Poole.
The service supports people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health needs. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity offering 33.75 hours per week for somebody seeking a stable, long-term position.
Responsibilities
* Providing person-centred support throughout the night
* Supporting individuals with their personal care and daily living needs
* Promoting dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing
* Completing regular checks and responding appropriately to individual needs
* Following support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
* Maintaining clear and accurate care records
* Working effectively with colleagues to provide safe and consistent support
* Completing appropriate handovers at the end of each shift
Requirements
* Previous care or support-work experience is strongly preferred
* Availability to work night shifts, including weekends
* A compassionate, respectful and reliable approach
* Good communication and record-keeping skills
* An understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
* The right to work in the UK
The service is currently unable to offer visa sponsorship. Applications from candidates requiring sponsorship cannot be considered.
