Senior Children's Residential Support Worker Location: Stapleford, Nottinghamshire Pay: £13.00 – £15.00 per hour Shifts: Days & Nights Available Start: ASAP Consistency, care and calm support where it matters most. We are looking for an experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join a residential service supporting children and young people in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in children’s residential care who understands the importance of consistency, structure, positive boundaries and creating a safe and nurturing environment for young people. The Role As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to young people while helping maintain high standards across the home. Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting children and young people with daily routines and activities * Building positive, consistent and professional relationships * Promoting independence, confidence and essential life skills * Supporting education, appointments, activities and wellbeing * Driving young people to education, appointments and activities when required * Acting as a positive role model * Supporting and guiding colleagues during shifts * Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally * Maintaining accurate records, reports and handovers * Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures * Helping maintain a safe, structured and nurturing home environment Essential Requirements * Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People or equivalent * Previous experience within a children’s residential setting * Full UK driving licence and ability to drive * Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection * Experience supporting vulnerable children and young people * Confidence managing challenging behaviour * Good communication and record keeping skills * Flexibility to work day and night shifts What’s On Offer * £13.00 – £15.00 per hour depending on experience * Immediate start available * Day and night shifts * Ongoing, consistent work * Opportunity to develop within children’s residential care * Rewarding work supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes If you are an experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker with the required Level 3 qualification and driving licence, apply today for an initial confidential conversation
