Registered Manager - Elderly Residential Home
Southend-on-Sea
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum
We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee a well-established 30-bed elderly residential home in the Southend-on-Sea area.
The home currently holds a Good CQC rating and provides high-quality care and support to older people, including residents living with dementia.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced care home manager who enjoys being visible within the service and building strong relationships with residents, families and staff.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring consistently high standards of care, compliance and staff performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting the staff team
Maintaining high standards of person-centred care
Ensuring continued compliance with CQC regulations
Building positive relationships with residents and their families
Managing staffing, recruitment and performance
Promoting a warm, welcoming and well-run home environment
Continuing to develop and improve the service
The Candidate
To be considered, you will need:
Previous experience managing a similar elderly residential or dementia care home
NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care
A strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance
Excellent leadership and people-management skills
A natural, approachable communication style
Confidence speaking with residents, relatives and staff
To live within a reasonable commuting distance of Southend-on-Sea
Salary & Package
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
