Job Description
KS2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackpool
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:45am-3:15pm
Contract: Temporary until the end of the academic year (with potential to become permanent)
This role is ideal for a motivated and supportive Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with older primary pupils and is passionate about helping children reach their full potential in a positive and nurturing school environment.
The Role:
Supporting pupils across KS2, working closely with the class teacher
Providing targeted support to individuals and small groups
Assisting with learning activities and classroom organisation
Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working within KS2 (school-based experience preferred)
Be patient, reliable, and enthusiastic
Be confident supporting learning across the KS2 curriculum
Work well as part of a team
Hold relevant TA qualifications (desirable but not essential)The role is temporary until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
