Job Description
Commissioning Engineer - EC&I / Control Systems Location: AWE - On-site Rate: £500 per day Contract: Initial 3 months, with view to extend Clearance: Live SC or DV essential Start: ASAP - candidates with current SC/DV can onboard within a couple of weeks The Role We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with an EC&I / Control Systems background to support commissioning activities on a major programme at AWE. You will be responsible for supporting the testing, commissioning and handover of electrical, instrumentation and control systems within a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Commissioning and testing of EC&I and control systems Fault-finding, functional testing and system verification Reviewing commissioning documentation, test procedures and drawings Supporting installation, pre-commissioning and handover Working closely with engineering, construction and project teams Ensuring commissioning activities meet safety, quality and project requirements Requirements Proven commissioning experience within EC&I, C&I or Control Systems Experience with PLC/SCADA and control systems Strong understanding of electrical/instrumentation systems Experience working on complex, highly regulated engineering projects Live SC or DV clearance - essential Valid CSCS card - essential A relevant HNC/HND or degree in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, Automation or Engineering preferred AWE experience highly desirable Nuclear, defence, process or other safety-critical experience advantageous £500/day | AWE | 3-month initial contract | SC/DV essential | Immediate requirement
