Job Description
I am currently representing a council in South Wales, who are recruiting for an experienced Environmental Health Officer to support a busy Public Health & Protection Team on an initial 3 month (likely extension) contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating statutory nuisance complaints, pollution control matters, private drainage issues, filthy and verminous premises, waste accumulations and other public health concerns. You will also provide input on Planning and Licensing consultations and undertake enforcement action where required.
Requirements:
* Degree/Diploma in Environmental Health
* EHRB/CIEH registration
* Previous Local Authority Environmental Health experience
* Strong knowledge of Environmental Protection legislation
* Experience investigating statutory nuisances and managing enforcement cases
Immediate start available with potential for extension
