Heavy Vehicle Technician
Ashchurch
£22.00 per hour total package
£17.00ph basic + £5.00ph expenses / allowance (Limited Company)
Initial 3-month contract – ongoing work available
Recruitable Staffing is recruiting experienced Heavy Vehicle Technicians / HGV Mechanics for a specialist engineering contract based in Ashchurch.
You’ll be working on the maintenance, repair, servicing and refurbishment of specialist heavy vehicles and equipment as part of an experienced engineering team.
Duties
* Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
* Mechanical and electrical fault finding
* Vehicle inspections and defect rectification
* Component removal and replacement
* Preventative maintenance and overhaul work
* Supporting vehicle refurbishment programmes
* Working to strict safety and quality standards
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
* Experience with HGVs, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery or military vehicles
* Strong mechanical maintenance and diagnostic skills
* Basic electrical fault-finding experience
* Able to obtain BPSS security clearance
