Job Description
The main duties of a Project manager will be to: * To manage the work of the project as a whole, as well as to support and develop the vision of The Light of The World Community Centre. To ensure good relationships between the Community Centre and The Church./ * To help local people to develop their own ideas and to work with them at every level using project facilities, forming activity groups and encouraging active live participation. * To seek recources to develop ans sustain activities within the project and at the Community Centre. * To co-ordinate training provision for staff, volunteers and users of the Community Centre . * To have responsibility for reporting and dealing with the maintenance requirement of the building and equiptment. * To facilitate the managemernt committee and attend sub-group and commitee meetings. Experience: * Minimum of 3 years experience of development work in a community setting * Experience managing a project * Experience supervising staff * Experience of lasing with other agency's * Substabtial experience of negociating funding, writing funding applications and all other aspects of fundraising. Desirable: * Previous experience working in a multicultural setting Qualifications: * Good level Numaracy/ litracy skills. To be able to write reports and complete funding applications. * Degree in management * 3 years substantial experience in management
