Job Description
Role Details:
· Position: Class 2 Building Control Inspector
· Start Date: ASAP
· Rate: Negotiable
· Working Arrangement: Mostly remote, some on-site when required
· Duration: 12 Months (Likely extension)
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure compliance with Building Act 1984 and Building Regulations for high-risk and complex developments through plan appraisals, inspections, and enforcement actions.
· Work alongside the Building Safety Regulator within a multi-disciplinary team to regulate higher-risk buildings.
Requirements
· Class 2A – 3H Registered Building Inspector status with the Building Safety Regulator.
· Degree in Building Control, Building Surveying, Construction, Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
· Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CABE, CIOB) with evidence of CPD compliance.
· Extensive experience in Building Control, managing complex caseloads, including new applications, regularisations, and reversions
