‍♂️ We're Hiring: Technical Supervisor 👷‍♂️🔧⚡ 📍 Brentwood 💷 £46,000 + Benefits 🕒 Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm | Full-Time | Permanent 🏠 Hybrid Working – 2 Days from Home per Week 🏥 Healthcare Environment We're looking for an experienced Technical Supervisor to provide technical leadership across a busy healthcare environment in Brentwood. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Senior Engineer / Technical Supervisor to lead and support an engineering team while ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The role offers a Monday to Friday working pattern, 2 days working from home each week, and a 1-in-4 on-call rota with third-party contractors attending out-of-hours call-outs. 🔧 What You'll Be Doing: 👷‍♂️ Supervising and supporting a team of engineers and maintenance staff. 🛠️ Managing day-to-day PPM and reactive maintenance activities. ⚙️ Providing technical guidance across M&E building services. 📋 Ensuring PPMs are completed within agreed timescales and to required standards. 🚨 Supporting the management of breakdowns, faults and technical issues. 🤝 Managing and monitoring contractors and subcontractors. 🦺 Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, statutory requirements and site procedures. 📑 Supporting RAMS, permits, risk assessments and safe systems of work. 💻 Maintaining accurate records using the CAFM system. 📊 Supporting audits, reporting and statutory inspections. 💬 Acting as a key technical point of contact for site stakeholders. 👥 Managing the engineering team and ensuring their training, qualifications and competency records remain up to date. 📋 Completing administrative duties, reporting and other documentation associated with the engineering function. 🏠 Hybrid Working: The role offers 2 days working from home each week, allowing you to focus on: * Managing and supporting the engineering team. * Completing administration and reporting. * Reviewing PPM and reactive maintenance activities. * Ensuring team training and competency records are up to date. * Managing documentation and compliance requirements. * Coordinating contractors and planned works. The remaining 3 days will be site-based in Brentwood. 📞 On-Call: You will participate in an on-call rota of 1 week in every 4 weeks. You will not normally be required to attend out-of-hours call-outs, as the site uses third-party contractors to attend and resolve emergency issues. The on-call responsibility will primarily involve providing technical support and coordinating the appropriate response when required. Where attendance is required: * A minimum 4-hour call-out payment applies. * If you are required to attend site for an 8-hour period, you will receive 3 hours' overtime for travel in accordance with the agreed arrangements. 👷‍♂️ What We're Looking For: 🔧 Strong electrical or mechanical engineering background. 👥 Previous experience supervising or leading an engineering team. 🏢 Experience within Facilities Management, Building Services, Healthcare or a similar complex environment. 📋 Strong knowledge of PPM, reactive maintenance and statutory compliance. 🦺 Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work. 🤝 Experience managing contractors and subcontractors. 💻 Good IT and CAFM system skills. 🎓 Relevant technical qualifications such as 18th Edition, NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent. 💬 Excellent communication and customer service skills. ⭐ Desirable: 🏥 Previous healthcare or hospital experience. 📖 Knowledge of HTM requirements and healthcare compliance. ⚙️ Experience working with critical building services. 💼 What's On Offer: 💷 £46,000 + Benefits 🕒 Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm 🏠 2 days working from home per week 📞 1 week in 4 on-call rota 💰 Minimum 4-hour call-out payment 🚗 Additional overtime/travel payment where site attendance is required 🏥 Technical leadership role within a professional healthcare environment. 📈 Excellent career progression opportunities. 🎓 Ongoing training and professional development. 🔧 A hands-on role combining technical leadership, engineering and team management. ⚡ If you're an experienced Technical Supervisor or Senior Engineer looking for a role offering hybrid working, a strong Monday-to-Friday schedule and genuine technical leadership responsibility, we'd love to hear from you
