Crane Operator

We are looking for experienced Crane Operators to support major defence and engineering projects within a highly regulated shipyard environment.
The Role
Safely operate overhead and mobile cranes to lift, transport and position engineering loads
Carry out lifting operations in line with approved lift plans and procedures
Complete pre-use inspections and equipment checks
Support vessel operations, manufacturing and maintenance activities
Select and use appropriate lifting equipment
Work safely at height and within confined spaces where trained and authorised
Complete relevant permits and lifting documentation
Work closely with slingers, maintenance, welding and production teams
Requirements
Previous crane operating experience within shipbuilding, engineering, construction or heavy industry
Valid Crane Operator certification
Strong understanding of lifting operations and safe systems of work
Ability to follow lift plans, procedures and technical instructions
Strong commitment to safety and quality
Good communication and teamwork skills

Crane Supervisor

Slinger/Signaller
Mobile Crane Operator
Overhead Crane experience
Forklift / MEWP licences
Confined Space / Working at Height
