Job Description
MMP are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Health & Safety / Compliance to lead the organisation's health, safety and compliance agenda. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the charity remains fully compliant with all relevant legislation, statutory obligations and regulatory requirements while fostering a positive culture of safety across the organisation. Key Responsibilities * Lead and oversee all aspects of health, safety and compliance across the organisation. * Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry best practice. * Develop and implement health and safety strategies, policies and procedures. * Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders, managers and colleagues. * Present regular compliance and health & safety reports to the Executive Team and Board. * Lead on risk management, including general and fire risk assessments. * Monitor legislative developments, including building safety and housing sector regulations. * Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation. * Oversee business continuity and emergency response processes. * Manage health and safety training programmes and ensure mandatory training compliance. Essential * NEBOSH and/or IOSH qualification. * Extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice. * Knowledge of housing regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks. * Understanding of the Fire Safety Act 2021 and Building Safety legislation. * Experience delivering health and safety management at a senior level. * Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels. * Excellent communication, presentation and report-writing skills. * Strong planning, organisational and analytical abilities.
