Job Description
Late Stage Formulation Manager
We are seeking an experienced Formulation Development professional to lead a Late-Stage Formulation team within a pharmaceutical R&D environment.
The role will focus on formulation development, optimisation, scale-up and technology transfer, ensuring products are robust, commercially viable and ready for manufacture. You will work closely with R&D, Operations, Quality and Regulatory teams, while providing technical leadership and developing the formulation team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead late-stage formulation and process development projects.
* Drive scale-up, technology transfer, stability and product characterisation activities.
* Apply QbD, risk assessment and process optimisation principles.
* Support regulatory submissions and technical documentation.
* Lead, coach and develop scientific staff.
* Ensure GMP, quality, health & safety and SOP requirements are maintained.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A postgraduate qualification in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related field.
* 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical formulation development and scale-up.
* Experience with GMP and FDA/EMA/VICH/ICH requirements.
* Proven scientific team leadership and people-management experience.
* Strong communication, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
