Project Manager – Civils
Location: North East
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established civil engineering contractor delivering a range of projects across the North East.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and groundworks, with experience managing projects from pre-construction through to completion.
The Role
*
Managing civils projects from commencement through to completion
*
Taking overall responsibility for programme, cost, quality and delivery
*
Managing Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and site teams
*
Overseeing groundworks, roads, drainage, sewers and infrastructure works
*
Developing and monitoring project programmes
*
Managing client relationships and project meetings
*
Monitoring commercial performance and working closely with Quantity Surveyors
*
Managing health, safety, quality and environmental requirements
*
Identifying and managing project risks and resolving issues
*
Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification
*
Providing regular progress and performance reports to senior management
About You
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering
*
Strong background in groundworks and infrastructure
*
Experience managing projects, budgets, programmes and delivery teams
*
Strong understanding of construction methods and processes
*
Excellent communication, leadership and client-management skills
*
Commercially aware with the ability to work closely with QS teams
*
Relevant civil engineering qualification
*
SMSTS and appropriate CSCS qualification
Civils experience is essential.
