HGV Technician - Nottingham Location: Nottingham Salary: £18.00 - £19.00 per hour, depending on experience Hours: Monday to Friday | Flexible start and finish times Standard Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Saturday: Saturday work available Overtime: Available HGV Technician - Flexible Working Hours We're recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join an expanding commercial vehicle repair business in the Nottingham area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable, long-term position with flexible working hours, additional Saturday work and overtime opportunities. The standard working day is 8:00am - 5:00pm, however the business can offer flexibility for technicians who would prefer to start and finish earlier or later. The Role As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for: ·Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs. ·Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT inspection. ·Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections. ·Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults. ·Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues. ·Attending breakdowns when required. ·Completing service records and paperwork accurately. ·Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and workshop housekeeping. ·Working independently and supporting the wider workshop team. About You We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician with: ·Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs. ·Level 3, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification preferred. ·Experienced time-served technicians will also be considered, so formal qualifications are not essential for the right candidate. ·Good mechanical and fault-finding skills. ·Diagnostic experience would be advantageous. ·MOT testing experience would also be beneficial. ·A reliable and professional approach to work.
