About the Job
As a Fully Qualified Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician

Conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and fault-finding on vehicles using both manual techniques and diagnostic equipment.
*
Perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
*
Replace or repair vehicle components including brakes, engines, transmissions, suspension systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical parts.
*
Ensure vehicles meet safety and emission standards before delivery.
*
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
*
Provide clear and professional advice to colleagues and customers regarding vehicle condition and necessary repairs.
*
Keep up to date with industry developments, tools, and technology.
*
Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety guidelines and procedures.

Support junior technicians through guidance and training where required.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
*
Recognised qualification in automotive or vehicle technology (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
*
Proven experience as a fully qualified Vehicle Technician in a workshop or dealership environment.
*
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
*
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and computer-based systems.
*
Valid driver’s license with no more than 6 points.
