Job Description
Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, a leading manufacturer of diesel fuel storage tanks and fuel management systems is seeking experienced Mild Steel MIG Welders to support ongoing and upcoming projects. The job will be based at Springhill Industrial Estate, Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire. Based on a 40-hour week: * Hourly rate: £17.50–£18.50 (annual salary: £36,400–£38,480) * Overtime rate (time and a half): £26.25–£27.75 per hour Approximate annual earnings: * £43,225–£45,695 based on 5 hours’ overtime per week * £50,050–£52,910 based on 10 hours’ overtime per week * £56,875–£60,125 based on 15 hours’ overtime per week Please note that overtime is not guaranteed and is subject to workload, customer demand and contracts secured. You should have experience with MIG welding; (TIG is a bonus but not a must-have) The successful candidate’s key skills will include: * MIG welding up to 8mm plate, occasionally 20mm to produce fabricated oil tanks and associated products. * TIG welding an advantage. * Ability to weld vertical, flat and overhead welds with a good penetration and quality. * Good understanding of engineering drawings and cut lists. * Produce/maintain a level of output that will maximise production. * Mig Welder Ability to work as part of a team. * Use of overhead gantry crane and forklift – full training given to right candidate. * Ability to operate various tools. * Willingness to work overtime as required.
