Workshop Operative Location: Sevenoaks Salary: £30,000 DOE Hours: Monday–Friday | 07:30–16:30 Contract: Permanent | Full-Time Morgan Jones is currently recruiting for a Workshop Operative to join a growing manufacturing business based in Sevenoaks. Working within a small and skilled workshop team, you'll play an important role in the fabrication and assembly of specialist fibreglass components. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a practical background who enjoys working with materials, using tools and producing accurate, high-quality work. The ideal candidate will have previous workshop or site-based experience and be confident working from measurements and drawings. Experience with fibreglass would be advantageous, although full specialist training can be provided to someone with the right practical skills and attitude. The Role * Measuring, marking and cutting materials accurately * Fabricating and assembling specialist fibreglass components * Bolting and securing components together * Working from technical drawings, measurements and instructions * Using workshop tools and equipment safely * Handling and manoeuvring heavier materials * Ensuring finished work meets the required quality standards * Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop * Working efficiently as part of a small, close-knit team About You We're looking for a practical and reliable individual who takes pride in their work and has good attention to detail. Essential: * 1–3 years' experience within a workshop or site-based environment * Good numerical and measuring skills * Strong practical ability and problem-solving skills * Physically capable of manual handling * Comfortable using hand and workshop tools * Willingness to learn specialist fabrication techniques * Ability to work independently and as part of a small team Highly Desirable: * Carpentry or joinery background * Previous experience working with fibreglass * General fabrication or workshop experience * Experience working within a small team environment Please note: This is a non-welding role and is not suited to candidates specifically looking for welding or metalwork positions.
