Job Description
Join Tenderlinks Elstead
Tenderlinks Day Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team at our Elstead nursery.
This is a full-time role worked over four days per week, offering an additional non-working day each week compared with a traditional five-day working pattern.
Working days are determined by the nursery rota and may not always be consecutive, so your non-working day may vary during the week.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about early years education and committed to creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.
Your Responsibilities
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
* Provide high-quality care, ensuring children's safety, wellbeing and individual needs are met.
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
* Support children's learning and development through play, exploration and child-led experiences.
* Act as a Key Person, observing and monitoring children's development and maintaining appropriate records.
* Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
* Keep parents informed about their child's experiences, progress and development.
* Support children's personal care routines, including meals, sleep, toileting and nappy changing where required.
* Maintain a safe, clean, stimulating and welcoming nursery environment.
* Follow all safeguarding, child protection, health and safety and nursery policies.
* Work collaboratively with the Nursery Manager, Room Leaders and wider team to maintain high standards of care and education.
What We're Looking For
You will ideally have:
* A Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or equivalent recognised qualification.
* Previous experience working in a nursery or early years environment.
* Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* A caring, positive and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Reliability, flexibility and a professional approach.
A current Paediatric First Aid certificate and enhanced DBS would be advantageous. If required, Tenderlinks can arrange and cover the cost of these.

Competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience.
Full-Time, Four-Day Working Week
